Genre 1: Brochure

Criteria:

Brochure Example 1: I found this brochure to be a really great example! I think that it is fun, colorful, and creative. It would definitely catch a person's attention and make them want to pick it up and read it!

Brochure Example 2: I think that this is a great brochure as well. I find the cover to be catchy and it gives you a happy serene feel. It makes Hawaii appealing. I think if I was getting married, I would definitely pick up this brochure and look through it.

Brochure Example 3: This brochure follows the breast cancer theme of pink. It also provides so much detail on it, so you can learn a lot from it and sign up for the breast cancer walk with it. However, I feel like the brochure itself is a little boring. It would be easy to walk by it and not stop to see what it's all about. I think they could have made it more appealing to the eye.

Genre 2: Flyer

Criteria:

The first flyer that I found is I think the best of the 3. It is very catchy with the scenes from the movies and the title written like film at the top. Every time that I see the movie posters on campus I always stop to read them. I also think that it is very informative.

The second flyer that I found definately stands out because of how bright it is. It is very informative as well however the brightness hurts my eyes to read it.

The third flyer has nice alignment. The join today star is also catchy. It provides the reader with all club sports available as well. However, I find it to be very boring. There are really no pictures and the colors aren't very exciting. I don't think I would notice it with a bunch of other fliers surrounding it.

Genre 3: Personal Letter to Employer

Criteria:

Above are three business letters that I found on the internet. They are all similar in format which was my main focus. What I didn't really like about the first business letter was that there is no signature. It is a typed name. I find this to be very impersonal. This is the same for the third business letter. However, If you look at the second one, there is a signature. I may be old fashioned but I feel as though a personal signature is a very important piece.

In my own business letter, I made sure to include a signature. I also formatted it like the others, and I tired to make it very personal in order to express to my employer why this job is so important to me.
